## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ HAS LITTLE TO NO FLIGHT EXPERIENCE AND WITH THE HANDLING CHARACTERISTICS OF THE AIRCRAFT, ALL SIGNS POINT TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ NOT BEING ABLE TO CONTROL THE AIRCRAFT IN FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT ROTATED AND PITCH UP QUICKER THAN EXPECTED. WITNESS STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFTWAS 50'-100' OFF THE GROUND WHEN IT BANKED LEFT, THEN PITCH UP VERY HIGH AND BANKED TOWARD THE RIGHT AND HEADED FOR THE GROUND.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN12LA448](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN12LA448), Jul 17, 2012: Chapman Mark A Trike (N404EA), Marlboro, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot’s failure to maintain adequate airspeed during a turn, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
