## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

BALLOON PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TOOK OFF FROM THE BOISE FAIR GROUNDS FOR A MORNING FLIGHT WITH TWO PASSENGERS. THE WIND WAS FORECAST TO BE 5 KNOTS, BUT AFTER LIFT OFF THE WIND INCREASED TO 20-25 KNOTS AND THE PILOT SET UP TO LANDING IN EAGLE, ID. ON APPROACH HE MADE CONTACT WITH THE ROOF OF A BUILDING THAT BELONGED TO THE CITY OF EAGLE, THEN MADE THE LANDING. THE PASSENGERS RECEIVED BRUISES, AND THE BALLOON BURNED IT'S SKIRT AND TWO PANELS. COUNSELED PILOT ON DECISION MAKING SKILLS. COMPLETED

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
