MR GARETT ROBERT COLONA HAD JUST DROPPED AN AERIAL ADDVERTISING BANNER AND WAS PROCEEDING STRAIGHT OUT FOR APPROXIMATLY 1 QUARTER OF A MILE WHEN WITNESSES SAID HE PITCHED UP SLIGHTLY AND BANKED TO THE LEFT ENTERING A STALL SPIN FROM ABOUT 300 FT. THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO RECOVER AND CRASHED ON AN ABANDONED GOLF COURSE JUST OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT CAUGHT FIRE ON IMPACT AND BURNED COMPLETELY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
