## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 7-29-2012 THE SUBJECT AIRCRAFT WAS INVOLVED IN THE INCIDENT DETAILED BELOW. UPON INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT AND A ENGINEERING REVIEW OF THE DAMAGE BY CESSNA ENGINEERING IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT SUSTAIN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. DURING THE INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT BY THE CESSNA SERVICE CETER MAINTENANCE PERSONELL IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE RH ANITI-SKID WIRING HARNESS HAD BEEN RUBBING ON THE RH MAIN TIRE INNER SIDE WALL. THE RUBBING CAUSED THE INNER CONDUCTORS OF SEVERAL WIRES TO BE EXPOSED AND MOST LIKELY SHORTING TOGETHER. THE AIRCRAFT WAS PREPARED FOR FLIGHT AND FERRIED TO A CESSNA SERVICE CENTER FOR REPAIRS. PILOTS STATEMENT VIA EMAIL IS LISTED BELOW.THIS EMAIL IS IN RESPONSE TO OUR EARLIER PHONE CONVERSATION REGARDING N634QS TAXI WAY EXCURSION AT PTK.> > WE TAXIED EAST ON TAXIWAY CHARLIE AROUND 10:00 LOCAL FOR RUNWAY 27L . HALFWAY DOWN CHARLIE WE SAW THE ANTISKID LIGHT ILLUMINATE FOR A SECOND OR TWO THEN EXTINGUISH . SLOWED AND THE BRAKES SEEMED FINE. WITHIN A FEW SECONDS FOLLOWING, THE ANTISKID LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN WITH THE MASTER CAUTION . APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE PEDALS WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH NO BRAKING AUTHORITY AND THE PLANE SWERVED LEFT . I APPLIED RIGHT RUDDER AND REACHED FOR THE EMER BRAKE BUT NOSE WHEEL AND LEFT MAIN STOPPED IN THE GRASS. > >

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
