## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT 15:10 LOCAL N787FL, AN LS-1 LIGHTNING WAS ON APPROACH FOR RUNWAY 5 AT NEMACOLIN WOODLANDS RESORT, (PA88). PILOT STATED THAT ON SHORT FINAL HE WAS FULLY CONFIGURED AT 55 KNOTS AT 15 FEET ABOVE THE RUNWAY WHEN THERE WAS A SUDDEN AND EXCESSIVE DESCENT RATE. THIS RESULTED IN A HARD LANDING WHICH CAUSED THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR TO COLLAPSE. BOTH THE PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE UNINJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
