## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA12CA495](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA12CA495), Aug 2, 2012: Piper PA-25-260 (N6802L), Alexander, NY, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate visual lookout and failure to maintain altitude during aerial application, which resulted in controlled flight into terrain.

## Other reports on N6802L (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19890825047729I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19890825047729I), Aug 25, 1989: Piper PA25260 (N6802L), Ogallala, NE, Minor damage. Aircraft yawed and nose dropped due to dust devil. Hit powerlines on climb. Returned.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
