## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT DEPARTED FELTS FIELD (SFF) IN SPOKANE, WA BOUND FOR A PRIVATE GRASS STRIP THAT HE HAD LANDED ON MANY TIMES PREVIOUSLY. THE STRIP HAS A ROAD RUNNING PERPINDICULAR TO THE END OF IT. UPON LANDING THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO SUFFICIENTLY SLOW THE AIRCRAFT. TO AVOID GOING ONTO THE COUNTRY ROAD HE MADE A HARD RIGHT TURN AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE LEFT LANDING GEAR WENT INTO A DITCH THAT PARALLELS THE ROAD. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE LEFT LANDING GEAR, THE LEFT WINGTIP, AND THE PROPELLER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
