## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON THE FIRST FLIGHT OF THE DAY, THE AIRCRAFT TOOK-OFF ON THE NORTHWEST HEADING RUNWAY. SOON AFTER LIFT-OFF HE SENSED A REDUCED POWER CONDITION. HE MADE A 180 DEGREE TURN TO THE LEFT AND THEN CRASHED INTO THE FIELD ADJACENT TO THE GRASS RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA12LA507](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA12LA507), Aug 6, 2012: Aeronca 7AC (N83826), Clifford, PA, substantial damage. Probable cause: Partial loss of engine power for reasons that could not be determined because postaccident examination did not reveal any anomalies that would have precluded normal operation.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
