## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT FAILED TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR. THE AIRCRAFT FUSELAGE TOUCHED DOWN APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET FROM THE APPROACH END OF THE RUNWAY AND SLID FOR APPROXIMATELY 1025 FEET BEFORE STOPPING ON THE CENTERLINE. PILOT STATED HE FORGOT TO PUT THE GEAR DOWN AND THAT HE DID NOT RUN HIS CHECKLIST. HE STATED THAT HE WAS RUSHING TO LAND AND GET FUEL BEFORE COMPLETING HIS PLANNED FLIGHT TO CORPUS CHRISTI. HIS FUEL STOP WAS UNPLANNED, BUT DUE TO WEATHER HE FELT IT WAS NECESSARY TO ADD FUEL. HE STATED THAT THE UNPLANNED STOP ALONG WITH THE PRESSURE TO MAINTAIN HIS TIMELINE LED HIM TO MAKE THE MISTAKE. DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS MINOR, SURFACE SCRATCHES ON THE BOTTOM OF AIRCRAFT AND THE WOODEN PROP TIPS BROKEN. NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
