## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT PILOT MADE A NORMAL APPROACH TO IRK RWY 36. APPROXIMATELY 5 MIN BEFORE THE INCIDENT, ASOS WINDS WERE REPORTED TO BE FROM 320º AT 12 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO 18. ON LANDING ROLLOUT, PILOT LOST CONTROL. AIRCRAFT VEERED LEFT INTO THE WIND; LEFT WING LIFTED, AND THE RIGHT WING-TIP STRUCK THE SURFACE. NOSE GEAR SHEARED. AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
