## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT MADE A HARD LANDING AND THE RIGHT TIRE BURST ON TOUCHDOWN. THE AIRCRAFT THEN EXITED THE RUNWAY ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND CONTINUED INTO THE GRASS APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET. THE LEFT WING HIT A SMALL SIGN BEFORE THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP CAUSING SOME COSMETIC DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING. THE ONLY OTHER VISIBLE DAMAGE AT THE TIME WAS SOME BUCKLING OF THE SKIN ON THE FUSELAGE WHERE THE FUSELAGE AND RIGHT WING MEET. INITIALLY THIS ACCIDENT WAS CONSIDERED AN INCIDENT. HOWEVER, AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION OF THE DAMAGE, IT IS NOW CLASSIFIED AS AN ACCIDENT. THE REAR SPAR OF THE RIGHT WING IS BUCKLED INBOARD OF THE GEAR.
