## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE IMPACT RESULTED IN STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT NEAR STATIONS 207, 218, 228, 235 AND 250. N894AT OPERATED BY SOUTHWEST AIRLINES DBA AIRTRANS AIRWAYS HAD ARRIVED AT MKE AS AIRTRAN FLIGHT 725 FROM ATLANTA AIRPORT (ATL) AND NORMAL PASSENGER DEPLANING HAD BEGUN BEFORE THE DAMAGE OCCURRED. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN13LA004](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN13LA004), Oct 5, 2012: Boeing 717-200 (N894AT), Milwaukee, WI, substantial damage. Probable cause: An obstruction (a sleeve of cups) that lodged under the catering truck brake pedal, which prevented the driver from stopping the truck before it struck the parked airplane.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
