## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 5, 2012 AT 7:30 AM MDT, N529DS, AN AMATEUR BUILT KITFOX 7, DEPARTED THE RUNWAY TO THE LEFT DURING TAKEOFF ROLL FROM RUNWAY 24 AT THE GALLUP, NM MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. THE PRIVATE PILOT AND ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS THE ONLY OCCUPANT AND WAS UNINJURED. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS EXISTED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
