## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 12, 2012, AIRCRAFT WITH A VENEZUELAN REGISTRATION, YV499T DEPARTED FORT LAUDERDALE EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (FXE) FOR A TEST FLIGHT. AFTER THE TEST FLIGHT WAS ACCOMPLISHED, DURING DESCENT TO FXE, PILOT'S ESS BUS CIRCUIT BREAKER (CB) POPPED RESULTING IN A LOSS OF ALL DC ESSENTIAL POWERED COCKPIT SYSTEMS, INCLUDING ALL COMMUNICATION AND FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS. THE ESS BUS CB WAS RESET AND ALL PILOT/COPILOT AND DC ESSENTIAL POWER WAS RESTORED, AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED TO MIAMI ARTCC. THE AIRCRAFT WAS CONFIGURED FOR LANDING WITH GEAR DOWN, FLAPS 20. AFTER 5-8 MINUTES, THE PILOT'S ESS BUS CB POPPED FOR THE SECOND TIME, RESULTING IN THE LOSS OF ALL DC ESSENTIAL POWERED COCKPIT SYSTEMS. UPON REACHING FINAL APPROACH (PRAIZ, ILS RUNWAY 08), THE ESS BUS CB WAS RESET FOR LANDING WITHOUT FURTHER OCCURRENCE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
