## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED HAYWARD APPROXIMATELY 4:16 AM ON 10/19/2012 AND WAS ENROUTE TO BURBANK CA IFR, WHEN AROUND 5:10 AM THE TRANSPONDER MODE C BECAME INOP. THE AIRCRAFT WAS NEAR PASO ROBLES BUT COULD NOT LAND DUE TO WEATHER. THE RADAR SCREEN BECAME INOP AND OTHER GAUGES BECAME NON RESPONSIVE. THE AIRCREW DIVERTED THE FLIGHT TO FRESNO (KFAT) FOR AN EMERGENCY LANDING. THE AIRCREW SAFELY LANDED THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO DAMAGE OR INJURIES. THE MAINTENANCE CREW REPLACED THE BATTERY AND AIRCRAFT HAS BEEN RETURNED TO SERVICE WITH NO FURTHER DISCREPANCIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
