## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 24, 2012, AT APPROXIMATELY 10:40AM, WHILE LANDING ON RUNWAY 05 AT CASA GRANDE AIRPORT (CGZ), THE PILOT IN COMMAND MADE A HARD LANDING. THE INITIAL IMPACT CAUSED HIS AIRCRAFT TO BECOME AIRBORNE PROPELLING IT INTO A NORTHEASTERLY DIRECTION OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT FAILED TO REGAIN ALTITUDE AND AIRSPEED AND IMPACTED THE GROUND A SECOND TIME. THE AIRCRAFT TRAVELED OVER DIRT AND UN-LEVEL TERRAIN APPROXIMATELY 160 YARDS FROM THE CENTER OF THE RUNWAY WHICH INDUCED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE LANDING GEAR, ENGINE AS WELL AS BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT WINGS.
