## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE EVENT OCCURRED ON NOVEMBER 23, 2012, DURING A FLIGHT OPERATED UNDER PART 91 EMANATED FROM NEWCASTLE OKLAHOMA (76OK) TO THE DAYTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KDAY). APPROXIMATELY 3 HOURS INTO THE FLIGHT WHILE OPERATING AT 9000 FEET AGL, THE PILOT REPORTED A POWER INTERRUPTION (ENGINE QUIT). THE PILOT ADVISED AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL (ATC) OF THE SITUATION AND REQUESTED INFORMATION FOR THE NEAREST AIRPORT, MONROE COUNTY AIRPORT (KBMG). THE PILOT STATED THAT PROPER FUEL MANAGEMENT WAS OBSERVED DURING THE FLIGHT AND NOTED THAT ALL THE TANKS WERE APPROXIMATELY HALF FULL. THE PILOT SWITCHED THE FUEL SELECTOR FROM THE LEFT WING TO THE RIGHT WING TANK AND ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE ENGINE BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE PILOT THEN ACTIVATED THE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP AND THE ENGINE STARTED. THE PILOT DIVERTED TOWARD BMG, CONTACTING THE CONTROL TOWER ADVISING THEM OF HIS LOCATION AND THAT HE WAS INBOUND TO LAND. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
