## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED DURING AN OFF-AIRPORT LANDING NEAR BRYANS CORNER, OK FOLLOWING A LOSS OF POWER AFTER DEPARTING GUYMON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. WHILE CLIMBING THROUGH 7,000 MSL PILOT REPORTED A LOUD BANG FOLLOWED BY THE PROP SPOOLING DOWN AND FEATHERING. EXAMINATION OF THE ENGINE SHOWED SIGNS OF DISTRESS TO BOTH THE POWER AND COMPRESSOR TURBINES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN13FA080](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN13FA080), Nov 30, 2012: Cessna 208B (N1324G), Bryans Corner, OK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The total loss of engine power as a result of a fractured compressor turbine blade due to fatigue cracking.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
