PILOT WAS CONDUCTING FLIGHT TEST DUTIES AND BECAME DISTRACTED ON APPROACH TO RUNWAY. FACTORS WERE A MODIFIED (ABBREVIATED) APPROACH PATTERN AND POSSIBLE CONFLICTING TRAFFIC.

OPERATOR IS CONDUCTING INTERNAL INVESTIGATION TO DEVELOP PROCEDURES TO PRECLUDE GEAR UP INCIDENT. THIS IS THE SECOND GEAR UP INCIDENT INVOLVING THIS AIRPLANE.
