## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS ATTEMPTING HIS FIRST LANDING WITHOUT ANOTHER PILOT IN THE AIRCRAFT FAMILIAR WITH THIS MODEL. HE HAD JUST PURCHASED THE AIRCRAFT ON THE MORNING OF THE INCIDENT. THIS WAS ALSO HIS FIRST NIGHT LANDING IN THIS TYPE AIRCRAFT. UPON HIS LANDING AT THE CRYSTAL RIVER AIRPORT THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD AND BOUNCED FOR QUITE A DISTANCE COMING DOWN HARD ON THE NOSE LANDING GEAR AND STRIKING ONE PROP BLADE. THE AIRCRAFT THEN SKIDDED OFF THE RUNWAY ACROSS THE GRASS AND ON TO THE TAXI WAY WHICH WAS A CONSIDERABLE DISTANCE TO TRAVEL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
