## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT AFTER CROSSING THE THRESHOLD TO RUNWAY 36 AT JOHNSON COUNTY EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (OJC), HE REDUCED POWER TO IDLE AND BEGAN THE LANDING FLARE. THE MAINS TOUCHED DOWN GENTLY AND HE ALLOWED THE NOSE WHEEL TO SETTLE ON THE RUNWAY. THERE WAS A SHIMMY FROM THE NOSE WHEEL, WHICH WAS NORMAL FOR THIS AIRCRAFT, AND ALMOST IMMEDIATELY THERE WAS A VIOLENT, UNCOMMANDED SWERVE TO THE LEFT. THE PILOT STATED HE FELT THE RUDDER PEDALS MOVING UNCOMMANDED BENEATH HIS FEET AND THAT HE WAS ALONG FOR THE RIDE. ALL CONTROL INPUT HAD NO EFFECT. THE NOSE GEAR BEGAN TO COLLAPSE ON THE RUNWAY AND THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED TO THE LEFT AND CAME TO A STOP APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET BEYOND THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY.
