## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS REPOSITIONING TO ENGINE RUN-UP AREA FROM FIXED BASE OPERATOR. WHILE TAXING AND ATTEMPTING TO SLOW DOWN PRIOR TO A TURN BY APPLYING EQUAL BRAKE DEFLECTION ON TOP OF RUDDER PEDALS, THE LEFT BRAKE FAILED, RIGHT BRAKE ENGAGE AND SPUN THE AIRCRAFT TO THE RIGHT. THE BRAKES WERE RELEASED TO ATTEMPT TO STRAIGHTEN THE NOSE WHEEL BUT IT KEPT TURNING TO THE RIGHT . THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN AS THE AIRCRAFT COASTED TO A STOP BUT NOT BEFORE THE WIND MILLING PROP STUCK A TAXIWAY MARKING LIGHT FIXTURE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
