## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS ON APPROACH TO RUNWAY 27 AT KRGK. ON DOWNWIND, ON BASE, AND AGAIN ON SHORT FINAL, PILOT STATED HE CHECKED THAT THE GEAR WAS DOWN AND HE HAD A GREEN LIGHT (INDICATING THE GEAR WAS DOWN AND LOCKED).

THE PILOT STATED THAT THE APPROACH WAS SMOOTH AND HE REDUCED POWER FOR THE FLARE. HE SAID THAT THE AIRCRAFT FLARED NORMALLY AND THEN TOUCHED DOWN. IMMEDIATELY AFTER TOUCHING DOWN, THE GEAR COLLAPSED AND FOLDED UP UNDERNEATH THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
