## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT DEPARTED PUNTILLA LAKE, ALASKA IN A NORTHWESTERLY DIRECTION AT APPROXIMATELY A 290 HEADING. THE AIRCRAFT MADE A LEFT TURN, STALLED AND IMPACTED THE GROUND ADJACENT TO THE LAKE IN A NOSE AND LEFT WING LOW ATTITUDE. THE IMPACT RESULTED IN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE NOSE, LEFT WING AND COCKPIT AREAS OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER INDICATES EVIDENCE OF ENGINE POWER AT THE TIME OF IMPACT. THE PILOT SUSTAINED FRACTURES TO THE PELVIS, LEGS, FEET, NOSE, ORBITAL FRACTURE TO THE FACE, AND LACERATION TO THE FACE. THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED FRACTURED SKULL AND BRAIN TRAUMA AND A FRACTURE OF THE KNEE. AS OF THIS DATE THE PASSENGER HAS NOT REGAINED CONSCIOUSNESS.
