## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT PILOT WAS FLYING CROSS-COUNTRY SOLO FROM KTXK TO OK 404. WHEN LANDING AT OK 404, PILOT CAME IN ON FINAL APPROACH. APPROACH WAS NORMAL. USED SLIGHT LEFT AILERON AND RIGHT RUDDER TO COMPENSATE FOR MILD LEFT QUARTERING CROSSWIND, FLAPS AT 30 DEGREES. LANDED AIRCRAFT ON CENTERLINE. AS THE NOSE WHEEL TOUCHED DOWN THE AIRCRAFT IMMEDIATELY VEERED TO THE LEFT. PILOT TRIED TO STRAIGHTEN THE AIRCRAFT WITH HARD RIGHT RUDDER. AIRCRAFT RAN OFF THE RUNWAY AND INTO THE GRASS. NOSE WHEEL STRUCK A DRAINAGE DITCH AND SNAPPED OFF FORCING THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT INTO THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED FORWARD AND LANDED ON IT'S TOP APPROXIMATELY 75 FEET TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
