## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT AND (1) PASSENGER INITIATED A TAKEOFF ON RUNWAY 29 AT KBDR. CONDITIONS WERE VMC WITH WINDS 28012G19KT. THE AIRCRAFT ROTATED AND THE PILOT SIDE DOOR OPENED ON ROTATION. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE DOOR DURING THE ROTATION AND LOST CONTROL. THE AIRCRAFT PITCHED DOWN AND TO THE LEFT, LEAVING THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED THE SNOW BANK ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE PROPELLER BLADES AND NOSE GEAR HIT FIRST AND THEN BOTH MAIN GEAR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
