## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AS THE AIRCRAFT APPROACHED TO TOUCH DOWN, THE LOCAL CONTROLLER OBSERVED THE LANDING GEAR AS BEING NOT EXTENDED. LOCAL CONTROL ADVISED THE PILOT OF THE OBSERVATION AND ADVISED THE PILOT TO PERFORM A GO AROUND. THE PILOT EXECUTED A GO AROUND AND RETURNED TO LAND WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. FURTHER DISCUSSION WITH THE PILOT REVEALED THAT THE AIRCRAFT HAD IN FACT ENCOUNTERED A PROPELLER STRIKE ON THE RUNWAY PRIOR TO EXECUTING THE GO AROUND MANEUVER.

A VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE PROPELLERS BY INSPECTORS CLASSIFIED THE DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER BLADES AS ?MAJOR DAMAGED?.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
