## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MARCH 4, 2013 AT APPROXIMATELY 1630 CALLS CAME IN STATING THAT A SMALL PLANE CRASHED IN TERRELL, TX. IT WAS REPORTED BY SEVERAL EYEWITNESSES THAT THE PILOT WAS PERFORMING AEROBATIC MANEUVERS. UPON PULLING UP FROM ONE OF SEVERAL DIVE, THE LEFT UPPER WING SEPARATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT; THE AIRCRAFT THEN WENT INTO A NOSE DIVE COMING TO REST IN A FIELD WITH POST ACCIDENT FIRE. THE WING THAT SEPARATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN A TREE ABOUT HALF A MILE EAST OF THE CRASH SITE. THE PILOT WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT ON BOARD AND DID NOT SURVIVE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
