## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT HAD JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED AIRPLANE. HAD RECIEVED INSTRUCTION IN THE 2 SEAT VERSION OF THE PITTS PRIOR TO INCIDENT. INCIDENT OCCURED ON THE PILOTS FIRST FLIGHT IN N310L (A SINGLE SEAT PITTS). DURING LANDING ROLLOUT, THE N310L DEPARTED THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AT VJI AND CONTINUED THROUGH THE GRASS. THE RIGHT WHEEL STRUCK A CONCRETE BLOCK PRIOR TO STOPPING. THE RIGHT GEAT STRUT COLLAPSED AND THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
