## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING LANDING ATTEMPT ON RUNWAY 13 AT PROVO, UTAH, AIRCRAFT HIT HARD AND BOUNCED BACK IN THE AIR. SOLO STUDENT PILOT APPLIED FULL POWER TO ATTEMPT A GO AROUND. THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO YAW RIGHT AND ROLL LEFT. IN AN EFFORT TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION THE PILOT LOST CONTROL OF THE PLANE. THE LEFT WING TIP STRUCK THE RUNWAY CAUSING THE PLANE TO SETTLE ONTO THE GROUND AND SPIN OUT OF CONTROL TO THE LEFT. IT CAME REST 34 METERS OFF THE EAST SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
