## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT LANDED AT KINT DURING 8 TO 12 KNOT CROSS WIND. AIRCRAFT LANDED AND BEGAN ROLLOUT, STARTED TO SETTLE ON AND COMPRESS STRUTS WHEN THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR (NON RETRACTABLE) BEGAN TO FOLD UNDER THE RIGHT WING. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ON THE GEAR WITH THE MOST WEIGHT RESTING ON THE RIGHT FLAP. THE BRAKE LINE STAYED ATTACHED AND HELD THE GEAR UNDER THE AIRCRAFT AS IT DECELERATED, SLID APPROXIMATELY 420 TO 450 FEET TO A STOP. ON RUNWAY 33. TWO PERSONS ON BOARD AND NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA13LA197](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA13LA197), Apr 7, 2013: Piper PA-28-181 (N3060B), Winston Salem, NC, substantial damage. Probable cause: Fatigue failure of the right main landing gear attach bolts due to an unreported hard landing at an unknown time, and subsequent collapse of the landing gear.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
