## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT REPORTED THAT WHILE CONDUCTING A TOUCH AND GO ON RUNWAY 21 HE TEMPORARILY LOST CONTROL AFTER ENCOUNTERING A GUST OF WIND UPON TOUCHING DOWN. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE APPLIED FLIGHT CONTROL INPUTS AND POWER TO REGAIN CONTROL. DURING THE PROCESS OF GAINING CONTROL, THE AIRPLANE DRIFTED LEFT OF THE RUNWAY WHILE AIRBORNE AND CONTACTED A BOX SIGN AND TAXIWAY LIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION FOR TAXIWAY B. THE PILOT DEPARTED THE PATTERN AT PKB AND CONTINUED TO 42I WHICH WAS HIS INTENDED DESTINATION AFTER PERFORMING THE TOUCH AND GO OPERATION.

UPON ARRIVAL AT 42I THE PILOT STATED THAT HE DISCOVERED MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH MAIN GEAR WHEEL PANTS AND THE RIGHT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER. THE PILOT REPORTED THAT HE DID NOT REALIZE HE HAD CONTACTED ANYTHING AT PKB DURING THE SCENARIO DESCRIBED ABOVE. HE ALSO STATED THAT HE DID NOT HAVE ANY MECHANICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRPLANE PRIOR TO THE LOSS OF CONTROL AND SUBSEQUENT CONTACT WITH THE SIGN AND LIGHT.

THE PILOT REPORTED THAT WINDS WERE 250 @ 13 - 19 PRIOR TO HIS DEPARTURE FROM PKB FOR THE TOUCH AND GO.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
