## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT IN COMMAND WAS PRACTICING TOUCH-AND-GOES USING LEFT HAND TRAFFIC PATTERN FOR RUNWAY 12. THERE WERE TWO OTHER AIRCRAFT IN THE PATTERN AT THE SAME TIME. THE PILOT HAD TO USE THE HAND HELD MICROPHONE TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER TRAFFIC DUE TO PUSH TO TALK SWITCH ON THE YOKE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE PILOT WAS NOT ACCUSTOMED TO USING THE HAND HELD MICROPHONE.

WHILE OBSERVING THE OTHER TRAFFIC AND STAYING CLEAR OF EACH OTHER, THE CHECK LIST STEP FOR GEAR DOWN WAS MISSED LEADING TO A GEAR UP LANDING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
