## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS PRACTICING NIGHT TOUCH AND GO'S IN PREPARATION FOR HIS UP COMMING BIANNUAL FLIGHT REVIEW. PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT, THE PILOT FLEW OVER THE NUMBERS OF RUNWAY 30 WITH AN AIRSPEED OF 100 MPH AND FORGOT TO PUT THE LANDING GEAR DOWN. THE PILOT ADDED FULL POWER AND ATTEMPTED TO GO AROUND. THE AIRCRAFT SLAMMED HARD TO THE GROUND AND SKIDDED TO A STOP. FIRE WAS SEEN COMING OUT OF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE PLANE SO THE PILOT QUICKLY JUMPED FROM THE PLANE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR13CA193](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR13CA193), Apr 15, 2013: Cessna 210B (N9685X), Caldwell, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to lower the landing gear, which resulted in a gear-up hard landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
