## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

RUQ - RWY 20, PILOT PERFORMED A TOUCH-N-GO. DURING CLIMB OUT, PILOT FOUND EXTENDED FLAPS TO BE NON-RESPONSIVE. DURING GO-AROUND, PILOT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL IN REGAINING CONTROL OF FLAPS DUE TO BLOWN FUSE. PILOT ATTEMPTED TO LAND RWY 20. AFTER TOUCH DOWN, PILOT ABORTED AND RE-ENTERED APPROACH PATTERN. AFTER TOUCHDOWN ON 2ND LANDING ATTEMP, NOSE GEAR WHEEL FAILED. PILOT ATTEMPTED TO ROLL A/C OFF RIGHT SIDE OF RWY WHERE NOSE GEAR DUG IN TO THE GROUND CAUSING THE A/C TO FLIP TAIL OVER NOSE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA13CA206](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA13CA206), Apr 17, 2013: Poole Robert C JR Van's (N439RP), Salisbury, NC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper landing flare, which resulted in a hard landing, and his subsequent decision to exit the paved runway onto the soft terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
