## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SCENE INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE AIRCRAFT MANEUVERED INTO A STEEP RIGHT BANK IN AN ATTEMPT TO ALIGN WITH THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE DURING LANDING, THEN FELL STRAIGHT DOWN. THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED THE GROUND AT A NEAR VERTICAL ANGLE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain airplane control during a base-to-final turn with a gusting wind and potential turbulence/wind shear, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall and collision with terrain.
