## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A TRAINING FLIGHT USING THE BELL HELICOPTER INSTRUCTOR PILOT ON BOARD, PILOT EXECUTED A PRECISION AUTO ROTATION WITH A 180 DEGREE TURN TO AN IMPROVED HARD SURFACED RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT DEVELOPED A HIGH SINK RATE WITH LOW ROTOR RPM AT THE BOTTOM CAUSING INSUFFICIENT ROTOR TO CUSHION THE AIRCRAFT UPON TOUCH DOWN. AIRCRAFT FELL VERTICAL BUT WITH A HIGH FORWARD MOMENTUM CAUSING A GROUND SLIDE OF OVER 150 FEET. DAMAGE TO LANDING SKIDS AND LANDING LIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
