## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N58LD WAS ATTEMPTING TO LAND EASTBOUND, INTO THE MORNING SUN, ON BRYAN AERO PARK?S GRASS STRIP. ANOTHER AIRCRAFT WAS LANDING WESTBOUND BUT WAS NOT SEEN BY N58LD?S PILOT UNTIL N58LD WAS CLOSE TO TOUCHDOWN. N58LD?S PASSENGER STATED THAT N58LD?S PILOT THROTTLED-UP, PULLED UP, AND TURNED HARD TO THE LEFT AS THE OTHER AIRCRAFT?S PILOT, HAVING SEEN N58LD, WAS CLIMBING AGAIN. N58LD?S PASSENGER ALSO STATED THAT THE OTHER AIRCRAFT APPEARED TO BE HEADING AT N58LD. N58LD WAS TRAVELLING IN A WESTERLY DIRECTION WHEN IT CRASHED JUST NORTH OF THE WEST END OF THE AIRSTRIP.

Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain sufficient airspeed during a go-around, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall and subsequent impact with terrain.
