ON 5/4/2013, AT APPROXIMATELY 1639 PDT A PA-28-140 AIRCRAFT, N2397T SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WHEEL FAIRING DURING LANDING AT BOEING FIELD. PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN GROUND CONTROL NOTICED AN ABNORMALITY WITH THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR. CONTROLLER SENT AIRCRAFT AROUND. IT APPEARED THE LEFT WHEEL FAIRING CAME LOOSE AND WAS HANGING LOWER THAN LEFT TIRE. AIRFIELD OPERATIONS AND THE FIRE DEPT WERE DISPATCHED. AIRCRAFT LANDED AND TAXIED TO PARKING WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MINOR DAMAGE TO FAIRING. NO INJURIES

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
