## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER FIRST TAKEOFF OF DAY, A LANDING WAS INTIATED BY THE FLYING PILOT WITH THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR GIVING INSTRUCTION. FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR REPORTS THAT ON TOUCHDOWN THE STUDENT INADVERTENTLY APPLIED SUBSTANTIAL LEFT BRAKE WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO VEER TO THE LEFT. THE INSTRUCTOR WAS UNABLE TO OVERCOME THE VEER WITH RUDDER CONTROL ALONE SINCE HE HAD NO BRAKES INSTALLED ON HIS SIDE. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO VEER TO THE LEFT AND GROUND LOOPED ON THE RUNWAY, DAMAGING THE LEFT WINGTIP, PROPELLER AND LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR. NO FIRE INSUED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
