## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THE INITIAL APPROACH WAS GOOD BUT A LITTLE FLATTER AND MORE POWER THAN NORMAL AND HE REDUCED POWER TOO QUICKLY AND THE AIRCRAFT SANK. THE FIRST BOUNCE WAS NOT TO SEVERE. THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED A SECOND TIME UP TO ABOUT 15 FEET. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED THE THIRD TIME IT HAD RUN OUT OF AIRSPEED AND LANDED HARD ENOUGH TO COLLAPSE THE FRONT GEAR. AS A RESULT, THE PROP STRUCK THE RUNWAY AND THE ENGINE STOPPED. THE AIRCRAFT TRAVELED ABOUT ANOTHER 40 FEET DOWN THE RUNWAY ON THE MAIN GEAR STRUTS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
