## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE TRIMMING TREES FROM A POWERLINE RIGHT-OF-WAY TWO MILES SOUTH OF CAMDENTON, MISSOURI, THE PILOT OBSERVED A PIECE OF TREE DEBRIS COMING UP FROM THE SAW WHICH HIT THE MAIN ROTOR BLADE. THE PILOT NOTICED A MOMENTARY VIBRATION AND MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING IN A NEARBY FIELD. AFTER LANDING, THE PILOT INSPECTED THE HELICOPTER AND THE ONLY VISIBLE DAMAGE WAS A SLIGHT WRINKLE NEAR THE ROOT AND TRAILING EDGE OF ONE MAIN ROTOR BLADE. NO OTHER DAMAGE WAS NOTED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN13CA281](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN13CA281), May 15, 2013: Hughes 369D (N725M), Camdenton, MO, substantial damage. Probable cause: The piece of wood/tree that contacted the main rotor blade during the low altitude tree-trimming flight.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
