## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FLIGHT FROM 2RR (RIVER RANCH) TO KTIX (SPACE COAST) APPROX 6 MILES FROM KTIX AT 3000 FT AGL THE ENGINE STARTED RUNNING VERY ROUGH AND LOST POWER.

WITHOUT ADEQUATE POWER TO MAKE THE AIRPORT THE BREVARD COUNTY LANDFILL WAS CHOSEN AS THE SAFEST ALTERNATIVE LANDING AREA.

THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON A PERIMETER ROAD INSIDE THE LANDFILL WITHOUT INCIDENT.

THE LOSS OF POWER WAS DUE TO A BROKEN ROCKER ARM ON NUMBER 3 CYLINDER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
