## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SUNDAY MAY 26, 2013, BONANZA BE-V35B WAS LANDING AT KERNVILLE AIRPORT, KERNVILLE, CA (LO5), RUNWAY 17, AT APPROXIMATELY 1345 PDT. THE PILOT LANDED SLIGHTLY LEFT OF CENTER LINE IN THE TOUCHDOWN AREA. TIRE SKID MARKS INDICATED THAT THE AIRPLANE WAS TRACKING LEFT AND EVENTUALLY DEPARTED THE RUNWAY ON THE LEFT SIDE ABOUT 1000 FEET DOWN THE RUNWAY AND STOPPED ABRPUBTLY AFTER THE NOSE WHEEL COLLAPSED AND WAS BENT AFT. THE RIGHT AND LEFT WING TIPS HAD DAMAGE FROM GROUND CONTACT AND THE ENTIRE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS CANTED LEFT FROM THE GROUND CONTACT. FIREWALL DAMAGE IS SUBSTANTIAL. VISUAL METEROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED. WIND SPEED AND DIRECTION WERE NOT REPORTED AT THE AIRPORT BUT THE PILOT REPORTED GUSTY WINDS. THE PILOT WAS SLIGHTLY INJURED WITH AN CUT FINGER AND THE PASSENGER WAS NOT INJURED. THE PURPOSE OF THE FLIGHT WAS TO HAVE LUNCH AT THE AIRPORT AND THEN RETURN TO SANTA MONICA WHERE THE AIRPLANCE IS HANGARED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
