## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 9, 2013 @ APPROXIMATELY 1000 THE PILOT OF N732BS LANDED NEAR MIDFIELD ON RUNWAY 35 AT CHILOQUIN STATE AIRPORT IN CHILOQUIN, OREGON. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT AND OTHER WITNESS STATEMENTS (AND SUPPORTED BY GROUND SCAR INDICATIONS), THIS LANDING WAS A HIGH SPEED OR ?HOT? LANDING. UPON LANDING THE NOSE GEAR WHEEL FORK FAILED CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO BECOME UNCONTROLLABLE. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, TRAVELED THROUGH THE SOUTH END OF A SMALL CULVERT DITCH (RUNNING PARALLEL TO THE RUNWAY AND UNDER THE MID-FIELD RUNWAY EXIT), PROCEEDED OVER THE LEFT MID- FIELD RUNWAY EXIT, AND RE-ENTERED THE NORTH END OF THE CULVERT DITCH. ON THE FAR SIDE RIM OF THE CULVERT DITCH THE AIRCRAFT NOSE WHEEL COMPLETELY DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT. WITH THE NOSE WHEEL GONE, THE REMAINING PORTION OF THE GEAR FORK DUG TOW FURROWS IN THE SOIL FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET JUST PRIOR TO THE AIRCRAFT GOING TAIL OVER NOSE AND COMING TO REST ON ITS BACK. BOTH THE PILOT AND PASSENGER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES AND WERE TRANSPORTED TO KLAMATH FALL MEDICAL CENTER FOR TREATMENT AND WERE RELEASED THE SAME DAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
