## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS LANDING WITH A RIGHT CROSSWIND. UPON LANDING THE PILOT FAILED TO RELEASE THE LEFT RUDDER HE WAS USING IN THE CROSSWIND AND THE AIRCRAFT VEERED OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE LEFT. THE AIRCRAFT THEN STRUCK A SMALL CONCRETE PAD AND THE NOSEGEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE VASI (VISUAL APPROACHED SLOPE INDICATOR) AND DESTROYED AT LEAST ONE UNIT. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE FROM THE FIREWALL FORWARD. PILOT DID NOT PROVIDE A STATEMENT.
