## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 13, 2013 AT APPROXIMATELY 1210 AIRCRAFT WAS TURNED OVER AS A RESULT OF EXCESSIVE BREAKING. PILOT STATED THAT HIS FOOT SLIPPED OFF OF THE RIGHT RUDDER PEDAL CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO SWERVE LEFT. HE STATED THAT HE APPLIED THE HEEL BRAKES. AS THE AIRCRAFT WAS SLOWING DOWN, THINKING HE WAS STILL GOING TO END UP INTO A POND WHICH WAS IN FRONT OF HIM, HE THEN APPLIED THE BRAKES AGGRESSIVELY. THIS ACTION CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO PITCH OVER AND AIRCRAFT TO TURN OVER ON ITS BACK. THERE IS DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER, CABIN AREA, WINGS, WING STRUTS BENT AND VERTICAL FIN DAMAGED AND SOME BUCKLING IN FUSELAGE SKIN. THE DAMAGE OF THE AIRCRAFT IS SUBSTANTIAL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

Probable cause: The inadvertent slippage of the pilot's foot off the right rudder pedal, resulting in a loss of directional control on the ground, and the pilot's overly aggressive application of wheel brakes,…

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
