## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

TWO EXPERIENCED JUMPERS PERFORMING CANOPY RELATIVE WORK (CRW) IN STACK FORMATION. LOWER PARACHUTIST (JUMPER 1) MADE CONTACT WITH UPPER PARACHUTIST (JUMPER 2) WHEN APPROACHING TOO FAST FROM BELOW AND BEHIND JUMPER 2, PARTIALLY COLLAPSING JUMPER 1 CANOPY. THIS CONTACT CAUSED BOTH PARACHUTIST TO BECOME ENTANGLED. DUE TO PARTIALLY COLLAPSED JUMPER 1 CANOPY, AND INABILITY TO TURN INTO WIND, THE DESCENT RATE AND FORWARD SPEED INCREASED,CAUSING INJURIES UPON LANDING.

JUMPERS WERE EXPERIENCED AND NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE SKYDIVE DELMARVA SCHOOL AT LAUREL AIRPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
