## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N92JR DEPARTED ROBERTSON CO. AIRPORT (M91) ENROUTE TO CHICAGO EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (KPWK). WHILE ON APPROACH TO RUNWAY 16 AT KPWK, THE AIRCRAFT'S RIGHT ENGINE SHUTDOWN, AND SHORTLY AFTER THE AIRCRAFT'S LEFT ENGINE SHUTDOWN. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON WOLF ROAD, APPROXIMATELY ONE HALF MILE SHORT OF RUNWAY 16. THE RIGHT WING STRUCK SEVERAL TREES/ROAD SIGNS AND AS A RESULT THE RIGHT WING WAS DESTROYED. THE LEFT WING SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE.

THERE WAS NO POST CRASH FIRE. THE DAMAGE TO BOTH PROPELLERS INDICATES THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT UNDER POWER AT THE TIME OF IMPACT. THE RIGHT FUEL TANKS WERE DESTROYED AS A RESULT OF THE IMPACT. THE LEFT FUEL TANKS WERE NOT COMPROMISED. APPROXIMATLY 1.5 GALLONS OF FUEL WERE DRAINED FROM THE LEFT WING FUEL TANKS.

THE PILOT FILED A FLIGHT PLAN WITH LOCKHEED MARTIN FLIGHT SERVICE STATION. HE STATED, IN HIS FLIGHT PLAN, THE ESTIMATED TIME ENROUTE WAS ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES. HE ALSO STATED, IN HIS FLIGHT PLAN, THERE WAS FOUR HOURS AND THIRTY MINUTES OF FUEL ONBOARD. DURING A TELEPHONE INTERVIEW ON JUNE 26, 2013, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT HE DEPARTED WITH JUST OVER ONE THOUSAND POUNDS PER SIDE (LESS THAN 2.5 HOURS OF FUEL).

THE AIRCRAFT HAD BEEN AIRBORNE FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE HOUR AND THIRTY SEVEN MINUTES WHEN THE RIGHT ENGINE SHUTDOWN.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN13CA373](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN13CA373), Jun 26, 2013: Beech 200 (N92JR), Wheeling, IL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper fuel planning and management, which resulted in a loss of engine power due to fuel exhaustion.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
