## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS AIRCRAFT DEPARTED BROWNSVILLE, TX AT 5:30 PM ON 7/6/2012 FOR LAS VEGAS. XBRSC IS A MEXICAN PART 91 BEING OPERATED BY THE OWNER.

ON APPROACH TO LAS VEGAS, THE FLIGHT CREW NOTICED THE MAIN HYDRAULIC PRESSURE WAS DECREASING. THE PUMP WAS THEN SELECTED TO OFF.

THE PILOT ASKED THE FIRST OFFICER TO RUN THE EMERGENCY CHECKLIST FOR HYDRAULIC FAILURE.

THE PILOT STATED THAT AFTER COMPLETING THE CHECKLIST HE KNEW THEY WOULD NOT HAVE ANY BRAKES. HE DECIDED TO CONTINUE WITH THE REST OF THE PROCEDURE FOR LANDING. AT LANDING HE STARTED USING THRUST REVERSERS AND THEN STOWED THEM AROUND 50 KNOTS.

THE PILOT DID NOT ADVISE ATC OF ANY EMERGENCY.

AT AROUND 40 KNOTS HE STARTED USING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AS HE EXITED THE RUNWAY TO THE TAXIWAY. AT THAT MOMENT HE REALIZED HE DID NOT HAVE ANY BRAKING ACTION AND NO CONTROL OVER THE DIRECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT.

THE AIRCRAFT LANDED RWY 25L, CROSSED RWY 25R BETWEEN TXWY A6 AND A7, CROSSED TXWY B AND VEERED RIGHT INTO A FLOOD WATER DETENTION BASIN BETWEEN TXWY B/Z/W/G.

THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING LEADING EDGE INTO THE MAIN SPAR WHEN IT STRUCK A GRAVEL SCREENING APARATUS. THE RIGHT WING TIP WAS DAMAGED BY IMPACT WITH A MOUND OF DIRT. THE NOSE GEAR WAS SHEARED OFF. THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE WAS DAMAGED FORWARD OF THE COCKPIT.

NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED BY ANY OF THE FOUR PASSENGERS OR TWO FLIGHT CREW.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
